Scripture:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10
Devotional Thought:
Have you ever watched a sunrise, a sea painting itself across the horizon with shades you can’t quite name? God is the Master Artist, and every detail — the soft curl of a wave, the shimmer of gold in the clouds — is a deliberate stroke of His hand.
You, too, are part of this masterpiece. Your talents, your passions, and even the moments you feel small or unsure are threads in His grand canvas. Just as an artist layers colour, light, and shadow, God layers experiences and gifts in your life to bring forth something beautiful — uniquely yours.
Today, pause. Look around. Notice the colour in your life — in creation, in people, in the work of your own hands. Reflect: how can you pick up your “brush” and paint a small act of love, creativity, or faith into someone’s day?
God doesn’t rush. He layers patiently. He calls us to do the same — to create, to love, to live intentionally, trusting that each small stroke contributes to a masterpiece only He could envision.
Reflection Question:
What part of your life can you approach today as a work of art, trusting God to guide your hand?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this, let me know!
